Lab Presentations

Major German and European research labs in the area of computer graphics are invited to present their group, their work and projects to the conference participants.

A lab presentation will be a talk of 20 to 30 minutes (depends on the number of presentations) preferably of the head of the lab personally. The lab presentations will be held in separate sessions during lunch breaks or in parallel to other sessions. The presentation should give an overview of the organisational structure and the research activities of a European computer graphics research lab. The speaker shall describe the organisational structure of the unit(s), their history, the funding, the number of researchers, present the key researchers, show some photos of the people and the building and so on. Then the most important research topics of the last years and/or the future will be presented, preferably including some (interactive) demos, which could be shown by people from the lab in the background. This event shall give an overview of the European scientific landscape.

A booklet/brochure with two pages about every lab shall also be produced, this will give a nice overview of European Graphics Labs. You should be included!

If you are interested to present your lab at EG'2002, please write an informal email to eg02-lab@mpi-sb.mpg.de, and you will be put on the list of people receiving all exact information in time.
