Welcome to the 37th German Conference on Pattern Recognition (GCPR 2015) and the 20th International Symposium on Vision, Modeling and Visualization (VMV 2015). For the first time, GCPR and VMV will be co-located in Aachen this year.
GCPR is the annual symposium of the German Association for Pattern Recognition (DAGM). It follows the long tradition of the DAGM conference series, which has been renamed to GCPR in 2013 to reflect its increasing internationalization. The conference addresses recent advances in theory, methodology, and applications of pattern recognition, machine learning, and computer vision. The GCPR proceedings will be published in a volume of the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
The VMV Symposium is the annual symposium of the Computer Graphics Special Interest Group of the German Informatics Society (Jahrestagung des Fachbereichs grafische Datenverarbeitung der Gesellschaft für Informatik [GI e.V.]). It is a unique event that brings together scientists and people interested in the interdisciplinary fields of computer graphics, computer vision, visualization, and visual analytics, with special emphasis on the link between the disciplines. It offers researchers the opportunity to discuss a wide range of different topics within an open, international and interdisciplinary ambience.
The two conferences are jointly organized by the Visual Computing Institute at RWTH Aachen University. They will take place in parallel on . After the main conference, there will be another day with GCPR workshops and tutorials on .
