10th Eurographics Workshop on Visual Computing for Biology and Medicine (EG VCBM)

News: We are happy to announce an open call for submissions to the Computers and Graphics Journal (C&G) Special Section on Visual Computing for Biology and Medicine (VCBM). Details can be found here. The submission deadline is extended to January 29, 2021

News (Sep. 17, 2020): For their work to be presented at EG VCBM 2020, authors must register each of their work, i.e., each full paper and short paper, for open access. Publication fees are following the “Gold Open Access” model that the Eurographics association employs. These fees are payable per work latest by September 28, 2020.

The Gold Open Access fee charged by EG is 277,00€ for EG members and 362,00€ for non-members (keep in mind that EG membership is 80€ for regular members and 45€ for students – you can join EG here) .

Invited presentations from papers previously published in C&G are not required to pay the Gold Open Access publication fee since those papers have already been published under other conditions.

Please register your work for Open Access as soon as possible using the EG epayment system: https://events.eg.org/VCBM2020

End of September 2020, the annual Eurographics Workshop on Visual Computing for Biology and Medicine (EG VCBM) will take place.

EG VCBM addresses the state of the art in visual computing research with a strong focus on applications in biology and medicine. It provides an interdisciplinary forum for experts (researchers and practitioners) from visualization, visual analytics, computer graphics, image processing, computer vision, human computer interfaces as well as experts from biology and medicine, jointly working on next generation visual computing solutions for medicine, healthcare and the biotechnology sector. This year’s workshop (already the 10th VCBM since its foundation in 2008) will be held virtually from September 28 till October 1, 2020.

All papers (regular papers as well as short papers) will focus on a well-defined biological/medical problem, and demonstrate a significant innovation or improvement in visual computing.

We are looking forward to your exciting submissions!
